Freedom! Not "Free Damn!"

Proverbs 10: 19 (“When there are many words, transgression is unavoidable, but he who restrains his lips is wise.”) “A” and I had an argument touching the current intense issue on Cybercrime Law. It somehow has something to do with her being “Bleeped” as she has “frantically” posted. The bible verse above was my line of reasoning to point out how it should rather be surmised. Somewhat close to “don’t give me that crap” reckoning, she insinuated for me not to go biblical on her. Quite upset, like any normal person perhaps, “A” found that to be unrealistic other than corny. With her rolling eyes and relentless look seemingly taken aback by such pious conviction: “Really, you’re going to use that interpretation on me?!” Yes, I answered. And yes, it may sound trivial and overly idealistic but come to think of it, that’s what’s lacking actually; thus the whole “cyber upheaval”. #stopthehate #spreadlove Yet unconvinced and to rather face up to the already heated subject with her e...

Still Kissable Red Lips

Coming from a 4 Days/3 Nights out-of-town work-related engagement, a time off would be a welcome breather; thus, catching up on movies which I haven’t given much attention to for quite some time is one relaxing indulgence. I’ve watched 2 movies on HBO yesterday – “The Ugly Truth” and “Big Fish”. Somehow, the movies had me thinking of timely peculiarities. Though booked in Holiday Inn with breakfast buffet at Mequeni while we were in Clark, Pampanga other than having had a sumptuous dinner at AC Rumpa Restaurant and delectable desserts at Cioccolo or the “musical” nightcap at the Wishing Well Music Lounge, I yearned to get back home instead. My stay at the hotel gave me peace and quiet but I was actually missing my children’s clamoring. As expected, the food were flavorful just how Pampangeños are known to cook ‘em, however, I long to rather be eating alongside my wife (a mouthful incites considerable silence LOL) . In summation, the 2 movies correspondingly dealt with the differe...

Opposites Attract

Last Friday was the Philippines’ 68th commemoration of Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor). Fearlessness would have been a good thing to manifest… courage, a good thing to emulate… A day prior to that, I received a Gold Credit Card from EastWest Bank. It was quite a surprise as I didn’t apply for it. However, they misspelled my name. Possibly intended or otherwise, it seemed a living-up-to-their-name sort of a thing. “Going East but West bound or vice versa?” Or apparently a surprise that does not want to stir astonishment or a ‘go’ ordered stopped... “Activate, deactivate”… It’s about the opposite as the astounding offering also enthused apprehension. Or they could have thought of the coinciding holiday for heroes to lure clients into a daring situation for investment… Does EastWest mean from Northwest to Northeast or Southwest to Southeast? Or does it just denote its global coverage? Why not Northsouth? Just a thought… Not that I’m leaning towards the opposite for a change in subje...
